How do you present a business plan to a venture capitalist?
If you have ever watched Shark Tank that will give you a pretty good idea. Most venture capital groups/ investors have a short attention span and normally like your idea in minutes not hours.
6 Questions every Venture Capitalist wants to know before investing:
- How much money are you asking for?
- What is it going towards? Example marketing, developing product, etc.
- What are you selling and why? Be prepared to provide sales figures, cost to produce, margins
- Marketing plan- target customer, how you reach them, cost to acquire a customer, average amount per sale, and size of the potential market.
- What is the VC going to get for their investment? (percentage of ownership, a loan with interest. etc.)
- A brief background on you the owner of this company.
