First, you need to find out what your company values? What does your supervisor consider important? Ask them! Take them to lunch or during a job review and ask “What one or two things could I do that would make me more valuable to you and this company?’ You create value when you make yourself indispensable to the company. They cannot replace you. When you have achieved indispensable then you have created value. Now it is time to cash in and ask for a BIG raise.
