How do people acquire mentors?
Find someone you admire in an area you wish to improve at and ask them to mentor you. Don’t ask for a great deal of time; possibly lunch, coffee, or breakfast once per month. Obviously you pay and come very prepared with questions to ask them.
My experience is, if you ask, you will be surprised how eager successful people are to share their knowledge.
