What kind of brand names can touch the market?
BRANDING MADE SIMPLE
It is never the name focus on the one promise that if your company/product/ service could deliver on that would make customers chase you down for your business. Then you build your brand off of this.
Example
We can lower your car insurance- GEICO Branding- 15 minutes could save you 15% on your car insurance. They are not spending time on the name GEICO as much as they are spending time on what their bold promise is.
Another example is McDonald’s in that you know the name because of great branding (yellow arches and endless marketing) but you patronize McDonalds because they have branded inexpensive fast food that is consistently good. The name would mean nothing if they had not delivered for over 50 years on providing an inexpensive, consistent, fast food experience. There is nothing special about the name McDonald’s as it is only the last name of its founders and any name could have taken its place. It has been more than 50 years if promoting the promise with a consistent visual image (logo, tagline, etc.)
