How do you convince someone to invest in your business who never invested on anything before?
First, don’t pitch someone who cannot afford to lose it. That is my rule #1. For someone, especially someone new to investing in startups, they need to see the potential for a significant return on their investment. The reward needs to be worth the risk. You need to show them a business plan that gives them confidence this idea will work and that you are the right person to bet on.
