I would ask for a referral from a successful local business owner in your area. You don’t even have to know the business owner—all you have to do is politely ask to speak with the owner and tell them you are looking to start a business and need a great Bookkeeper/ Accountant and ask who would they recommend.
I prefer to have someone NOT ONLINE. I want to meet face-to-face with them and have them go through the numbers with me.
You want to learn the important numbers and terms (P.L Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Depreciating Assets, etc.) as you grow as an owner.
