What is a rainmaker? A rainmaker is that one person who can bring in the big client, the one person that you trust to close the biggest deal or the one person that you know is constantly working towards bringing in big revenue.
It’s great if it’s you, but if it’s not you, you may want to develop this skill. When you look back at some of the great startups like Microsoft and Apple, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were rainmakers.
There needs to be somebody within the group who has no problem asking for the big checks and asking for the big client.
