You better have a lion in your partnership group. There needs to be somebody who can confront that difficult client and say, “No, we didn’t promise that, we can’t give you that.” There needs to be somebody who can have the hard discussions with employees.
I encourage you today, if that’s not your quality, you might want to develop it and occasionally use it. It is a quality you can develop. If it’s something that is absolutely not your personality type, you may want to recruit a lion. This doesn’t mean that they’re a lion overtop of you; remember you’re the owner, but maybe you take their unique strength and allow it to be beneficial to you.
